Overview

Choosing where to work is one of the most consequential decisions professionals make, yet the information available—job descriptions, glassdoor scores, recruiter pitch—often obscures more than it reveals. ComoTrabajan is a platform that brings transparency to how companies actually operate. It surfaces real information about culture, processes, ways of working, and day-to-day realities so that professionals can make informed decisions about their next role.

The platform addresses a fundamental asymmetry: companies know a lot about candidates; candidates know very little about companies. ComoTrabajan flips that by aggregating and structuring insights from people who have worked at or interviewed with companies. The goal is not to replace traditional recruitment channels but to give candidates a clearer picture before they engage—and to give companies an incentive to improve how they work, since transparency creates accountability.

What I Built

I built ComoTrabajan as a marketplace-style platform where professionals contribute and consume company insights. The product includes structured profiles for companies (culture, processes, tools, work style, compensation signals), a review and contribution flow that encourages honest, constructive feedback, and search and filters so users can find companies that match their preferences. The design balances authenticity—real experiences—with guardrails to prevent abuse and ensure the content stays useful.

The platform serves two sides: professionals looking for better information, and companies interested in employer branding and talent attraction. For companies, ComoTrabajan offers visibility into how they are perceived and an opportunity to respond or improve. I designed the product to work in the Spanish market (comotrabajan.com targets Spain and Latin America), with localisation for language, norms, and employment context.

Why It Matters

The labour market works better when both sides have good information. Today, candidates often discover a company's culture only after joining—too late to avoid a poor fit. ComoTrabajan reduces that risk by making organisational reality more visible upfront. It aligns with a broader trend toward transparency in hiring: companies that work well have less to hide and more to gain from being open.

For professionals, especially in competitive markets, having access to real insights can save years of misaligned career moves. For the ecosystem, a platform that rewards transparency can nudge companies toward better practices. ComoTrabajan is a bet that more information, well structured and honestly shared, improves outcomes for both individuals and organisations.
